It may be morbid, but it sends a message that nobody deserves to be bullied and teased. Having a good message is more important to pay attention to than who the audience is, or what genre the band plays.
i read some articles in which former classmates of his wrote. the one person stating he felt he did it in english class because it was the one place he felt accepted and had a sense of purpose. a place of peace. this tune still carries so much emotion. props.
